Recovering your lost or forgotten password is something that everyone who owns an account online has experienced. Most of the times people put simple passwords to avoid forgetting their password. Simple and easy passwords should not be used. This makes it easy for intruders to gain access to all your secured information. It may be simpler to just make a strong password and save it somewhere that you only have access to – a password manager.
Usually if you have lost your Yahoo password and want to
recover it, you have to go through a certain process to achieve your goal. The
process used before was answering a set of secret questions. But now they
improved their security by allowing you to only reset your password through
your personal phone and any email you have access to. Due to this, there is
absolutely no way to recover your password without using your phone number or
an alternative email address.
Although it is impossible to recover your Yahoo password
without a phone number or an alternative email, this guide will show you the
process taken when attempting to recover your Yahoo password without a phone
number or an alternative email address.
Step 1 – Visit the Yahoo homepage
Step 2 – Enter your username
Enter your username & click the Next button to proceed
to the Sign In page.
Step 3 – Locate the “I forgot my password” link
On the Sign In page, click the “I forgot my password” link
and you will be taken to the first stage of the verification process of
resetting your forgotten password.
Step 4 – Method of verification 1
On the page you are asked to select how you would like to
verify your account. In the case that you do not have access to a phone number,
you click on the button “I don’t have access to this phone“. You will be taken
to the page where you can select how you would like to verify your account
using an alternative way.
Step 5 – Method of verification 2
On the page, again you are asked to select how you would
like to verify your account. In the case that you do not have access to an
alternative email address, you click on the button “I don’t have access to this
email“. You will be taken to the page where you can continue the process to
recover your lost or forgotten password.
Step 6 – Visit the Yahoo Help Site
If you have no access to a phone or an email address, you
will not be able to recover your Yahoo password. This is because Yahoo only
uses 2 methods for the verification process. On this step you are taken to a

Step 8 – Verify your humanity
After clicking the “I’m not a robot” check box, the pop-up
window is displayed asking you to select all the images with a common object in
it. In this example we are asked to select all the images with traffic lights.
This is done to verify that you are not a robot carrying on this process. This
type of verification is designed to be easy for humans but difficult for
robots. After selecting all the images with the common object, click the Verify
button at the bottom of the pop-up window.
Step 9 – Get started
